Nationwide Juried Catholic Arts Exhibition Opening Reception

Description: The Saint Vincent Gallery will open a multimedia show of religious-themed art at the opening reception of the Fourth Nationwide Juried Catholic Arts Exhibition on Friday, November 2 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Prize-winners ($1,000 first prize, $750 second prize, $500 third prize and four $250 juror’s mention prizes) will be announced later that evening. Admission is free and open to the public.
Noted art historian, author and lecturer John Thomas Spike was the juror for the exhibition and will deliver the 67th lecture in the Saint Vincent College Threshold Series that evening at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Center of the Robert S. Carey Student Center. Admission to the lecture is also free and open to the public but reservations are requested by sending name and number attending to threshold@stvincent.edu Prize winners will be announced after the lecture.
The exhibition will be available for viewing in the Gallery on the third floor of the Robert S. Carey Student Center from Saturday, November 3 to Sunday, December 9. Gallery hours are 12 noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The Gallery is closed on Mondays and during Thanksgiving holiday break (November 21 to 25). Admission is free and open to the public.
