Description: Nearly 300 Saint Vincent College students will be showcasing their research and other academic accomplishments for their classmates, professors and the general public at the College’s 11th Annual Academic Conference from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the entrance atrium and adjoining hallways of the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion on the campus of Saint Vincent College, Latrobe.

The conference is a multidisciplinary exposition and presentation of student research and accomplishments.

College-bound high school students, their parents, teachers and counselors are especially invited.

This year’s conference will feature works by students in a wide variety of disciplines, including areas of biochemistry, bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, Chinese language, communication, computing and information science, criminology, law and society, education, engineering, English, environmental chemistry, environmental science, history, international studies, liberal arts, management, mathematics, physics, psychology, sociology, Spanish, studio arts and theology.

While many students will share their work through posters and displays, others will present their work in panel sessions and performances.

The Conference is designed to communicate a fuller appreciation for the intellectual dynamic that lies at the center of academic life of Saint Vincent College.
