Westmoreland Symphony Program: Classical Encounters with Morrie Brand

Description: This mini-music appreciation course, offered in four class sessions, is designed to introduce people to the world of classical music or serve as a refresher course for those somewhat knowledgeable about classical music. It explores the four basic periods of classical music - Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary. The goal is to have the listener be more comfortable when listening to classical music. The instructor is Morrie Brand, Director of the Westmoreland Symphony's Academy of Music and Music Director of the Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra Program.
Participants must commit to all 4 sessions with a $10.00 deposit, refundable after course completion. Please register by phone and pay the $10.00 deposit at the adult circulation desk.
