Made in Westmoreland - 2019
Organization: Westmoreland Historical Society
Description: Our annual Made in Westmoreland program features the farm of John and Sukey Jamison, who will share stories of raising nationally-recognized lamb since 1976. Located on 210 picturesque acres in Latrobe, Jamison Farm annually raises 3,000 lambs on natural diets and in a free-range environment. Their talk corresponds with the recent publication of a cookbook, Coyotes in the Pasture and Wolves at the Door, which includes delicious recipes and exciting stories of the farm.
The program will be held at the Westmoreland History Education Center at Historic Hanna's Town. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Westmoreland History Shop.
Free for members of the Westmoreland Historical Society, $8 for nonmembers.
