The Spiritual Exercise of Creating

Description: Saint Vincent College School of Social Sciences, Communication, and Education will present “The Spiritual Exercise of Creating” by stained glass artist Br. Mark Floreanini, O.S.B., as the next speaker in the sixth edition of its lecture series on Aging and Spirituality.
Br. Mark, assistant professor of fine arts at Saint Vincent College in the School of Humanities and Fine Arts, will speak at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Fred M. Rogers Center. His presentation will focus on the connection between spirituality and art and the importance of hobbies. It will include a hands-on demonstration of several arts and crafts that participants may want to consider exploring in their retirement years. Admission is free and open to the public.
The final presentation in the series will be given by Fr. Stephen Concordia, O.S.B., assistant professor of fine arts at Saint Vincent College, “Spirituality and Music,” on Tuesday, April 16.
Persons of all ages are welcome to attend and share in the discussion and questions.
Parking for the physically challenged is available at the Fred M. Rogers Center. All participants may park in Parking Area A and enter the Rogers Center at the first floor entrance.
Reservations are not required.
