Detailed Info on:
Twin Lakes Park|34034|34041|

Twin Lakes Park best represents the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation's commitment to balance natural resources and public use for the benefit of both. The park has received national recognition for its facilities and programs that are designed for use by all people. Extensive stone paved walkways, three fishing decks, as well as modified picnic and play areas are a few of the barrier free facilities available. The Boathouse, which sits on the shore of the Lower Lake, is a very popular facility. Pedal boats, rowboats and canoes are available for rental. Food, drinks and live bait are also available for park visitors. The PA Fish Commission stocks both lakes with hardy game fish. Fall and winter stockings make both lakes a haven for ice fishing enthusiasts. Also located on the shore of the Lower Lake is the John F.Laudadio, Sr. Environmental and Nature Center. A variety of programs ranging from guided nature walks and specialized group presentations to movies and workshops are conducted from the center. Twin Lakes Park is located in Greensburg and is accessible via Donohoe Road from State Route 30.
