Youngwood Historical & Railroad Museum

The purpose of the Youngwood Railroad Museum is to preserve permanently the former Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) passenger and baggage station building and grounds located in Youngwood, PA. To collect historical information, records of personnel, pictures of railroading interest and other materials and information relating to the history of Youngwood Borough as well as the general area served by the rail yard and station in Youngwood. To organize and establish a permanent museum of railroading history and a center for historical records relating to the Borough of Youngwood and thereabouts. To assist the railroading families to collect railroad memorabilia and to preserve such materials in the museum. To develop the grounds into a park like setting to display larger pieces of railroading equipment, cars, locomotives, cabooses, etc.
