DESCRIPTION:This film tells the story of Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci\, best known as Leonardo da Vinci\, a fifteenth century Italian polymath of soaring imagination and profound intellect.  He left behind artistic works of staggering beauty and detailed sketches of futuristic contraptions of warfare and flight that today are marveled at for their technical ingenuity and foresight.  The documentary will follow the life of da Vinci\, featuring his inventions\, art\, and most of all\, his mind. \nThanks to the Latrobe Art Center and PBS\, we will be able to have a special screening of this wonderful film by the renowned Ken Burns. \nThis event is free\, but requires registration.  To register\, please stop by the library or call 724-539-1972! \n  \n\nCorporate funding for LEONARDO da VINCI was provided by Bank of America.
