Join us for a county-wide reading event in honor of America’s 250 birthday, featuring the classic novel, Johnny Tremain!
From now until Thursday, May 14 we’ll have multiple copies of Ester Forbes’ Johnny Tremain available for people to borrow.
Then, on Thursday May 14, readers may meet up at the library to discuss the book and watch the Disney adaptation.
A little about Johnny Tremain:
This work of historical fiction is set in Boston prior to and during the outbreak of the American Revolution. It follows a promising apprentice silversmith, Johnny Tremain as he is drawn into the Revolutionary War, and becomes a patriot fighting to free the colonies from England. Along the way he learns about life and about himself.
