Radon Detectors
Radon Detectors are now available for all patrons with a library card from a Westmoreland County library.

Using the Coolpad mobile hotspot, you can connect up to 6 devices to free Wi-Fi from the comfort of your home.
Borrowing Rules
• You must have a library card in good standing and have been a borrower for at least six months.
• The loan period is 14 days (two weeks).
• To give everyone a turn, you are not allowed to borrow another detector again for three months.
• Fines will be charged if you fail to return the detector after your allotted 14 days. The fee is $1.00 a day.
• If you fail to return the device after 30 days, you will be charged the replacement cost of $150.00 even if you later return it.
Usage Rules
• Do not expose devices to extremes of heat, cold or moisture (hot vehicles)
• Please notify library staff if you see a low battery warning.
Returning Rules
• Do not return devices to the outside book return box.
• Do not return to any other library.
• Return in the same condition as they were borrowed (clean, unbroken, with all parts, inside library container).
If a radon detector is tampered with in any way, the borrower may be charged fines, up to and including full replacement cost for the device.
